How I templatized a local credit union’s product landing pages for higher conversions


 

PROJECT STORY

When the credit union’s website was relaunched in 2017, a year before I joined up, the team didn’t optimize the site for mobile. Working within backend constraints (since the site is managed by a third-party ), I pushed on the levers we could control: UX improvements and copywriting.

  • Improve scan ability, inclusivity, and engagement with wordlessly with icons

  • Reduce scrolling without cutting valuable content (and content required by regulations and compliance)

  • Shift away from features and amplify the benefits our research tells us matter most

  • Include high-converting FAQs to overcome objections, demonstrate ease of business, and build excitement about the product’s value

Advantis Credit Union is the fifth largest credit union in Portland Metro and the State of Oregon. Advantis serves nearly 80,000 members with digital banking and in-branch financial services at nine locations in Multnomah, Clackamas, and Washington counties.
